Local Partnerships: Engaging Our Community With The Gospel

Especially in light of the Acts sermon series we just finished, as a church, we want to do everything we can to increase our focus on personal evangelism ― taking the time to invest in others within our community and pointing them to Christ. In order to help us grow in this way, the Mission Team has organized a number of local partnerships. This is an area of ministry that you’ll be hearing much more about in the weeks and months ahead.

These local partnerships are bridges from Grace Church into the community, designed to help us engage others with the gospel. Each partnership revolves around a people-focused service opportunity ― some way of serving others and developing relationships for the sake of the gospel.

There are a wide range of opportunities for you to consider! Some are for individuals, some are for groups or families; some opportunities involve just a one-time commitment, others are recurring. But in each case, as a church, we want to use these partnerships as a platform for sending us, Grace Church, into the community, to invest in relationships with others and patiently, lovingly point them to Christ.

So, is this an area where you could grow in your walk with Christ? Could this be an important next step in your journey of discipleship? Later this summer, on Sunday, August 26th, all of our local partnership leaders will be available. And we are going to launch this new ministry then, with a great new line-up of partnerships, but you can learn more and even get involved today. Better yet, bring your family, friends, and life group along with you. We have a handout available at the Info Center for you to learn more and consider your next steps. And also, again, mark your calendars for Sunday, August 26th, when we officially launch local partnerships. We are eager to see this new ministry area flourish within our church and community.
