Who is Jesus?

Every person desires peace and stability. The Wall Street Journal says that peace is the #1 word most frequently used in the media. Yet conflict and turmoil are all around us in the world. Wars, political crises, financial instability and marital and family problems causing a feeling of uncertainty. We wonder how to find any sense in it all, and what our purpose is for even being here.

Most people try to live a good life and do the right things, but we quickly realize that our efforts fall far short of perfection. We question what the eternal consequences of that failure might be, hoping that somehow, there is a solution.lighthouse

God's plan has always been for everyone to have a personal relationship with Him. Because of our sin, that relationship has been broken, and all of our efforts to mend it are unsuccessful. But here's the Good News: God's love for you is so wonderful that He provided the Answer to the problem.          God sent His Son Jesus Christ to take away our sins. Jesus died for us on the cross as our substitute. He destroyed the power of sin and death by rising from the grave, giving anyone who believes in Him exoneration from eternal judgment. He offers salvation as a gift, but like any gift, it must be accepted. If we confess our sins, turn from them, and receive Jesus Christ as our Savior we are saved. When we do that, He forgives our sins and restores us to a right relationship with Him, giving eternal peace and security in His grace.

Are you still trying to solve your problems yourself, hoping to be accepted by God? Or would you accept the only way to have lasting, eternal peace--through the gift that Jesus has provided?
