Volunteer Opportunities within Grace Kids Ministries are many and varied...and so are the rewards! Where would you like to serve?

Nursery Workers

Spend time with infants/toddlers, holding them, and playing with them while their parents are enriched in the Worship Service. Nursery schedules are rotating, once or twice monthly, on either Sunday mornings or Wednesday evenings.

Sprouts Teachers

Serve as the primary teacher in a classroom of children ranging from age 2 to Kindergarten. You will enjoy the children's joyful responses to the mornings activiies which may include play time, snack time, craft/coloring time, and story time. Sprouts Helper

Assist the teacher in a preschool room with snack, play, craft and story time. This may be done on a rotating basis.  Read More

 Roots Teacher

Serve as the primary teacher in a classroom of children ranging from age 1st thru 4th grade. You will be delighted to see these children grow in their understanding of who God is as you, and a helper, lead activities and lesson time. Curriculum for each week's lesson is provided. Roots Helper

Assist the teacher in an elementary classroom with various tasks such as attendance, assisting children with finding verses, helping with crafts or object lessons. Sunday School is taught at early and late service; please let us know which service you prefer to teach during.Read More

Walls of Worship Team Member

Would you like to share your love of music with children? Join this team of four or five people in providing a time of worship for our 1st thru 4th grade Sunday School students. The Worship Leader changes monthly and is responsible for choosing the songs and organizing the time and how it will be spent.

Walls of Worship Tech Asst.

Assist the Walls of Worship team by running power point and/or the sound system for the time of worship, once a month, for both services.

Open Doors Open Arms Team Member

You will work with the team to provide a quarterly respite for the parents of children with special needs.  These respites occur on Saturday afternoons for 3 to 4 hours, allowing the parents to have time alone while all their children are at church playing games, doing crafts, and learning.

Open Doors Open Arms Buddy

You will be directly responsible for a student in 1st - 4th grade with special needs during the hour they are in Sunday School.  You will build relationships with them and their parents and will follow them through their grades as they advance.  You will assist them by helping them become involved in the lesson, teaching time, craft and games as much as possible.

AWANA

Director: Provide direction and suuport to the leaders and helpers of AWANA by effectively communicating, energizing them, and encouraging them to stay focused on the material.

Leader: Work with the same group, of up to 7 children, throughout the year. Build relationships, teach, and help them apply the lessons to thier lives.

Helper: Assist with various needs to help make each Wed evening a success! This may include making copies, helping with registration, listening to children recite their memory verses, or giving one on one attention to a little one.

It is the goal of Grace Church to create a safe and secure environment for all participants and volunteers who are involved in our church activities. To facilitate this emphasis, it is necessary to gather pertinent information from those who desire to volunteer. The information submitted is confidential and will only be viewed by appropriate ministry directors. It will be stored under a double locked system (in a locked file cabinet located in a locked office). No one will have access without proper authorization. This is not an employment application.
