Come to The Well and be filled with an everlasting water that will cause you to thirst no more. Doesn't that sound great, to never thirst again? Are you feeling parched, desert-like dry or are you well-watered and overflowing with the peace that only Christ can give?
The logo for our women’s ministry is based on the passage of Scripture from John 4 where Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at the well in the middle of the day. She doesn't know him, except that he is a Jew and that he shouldn't be talking to her. He knows everything about her-how many times she has been married, where she is from. There are many things in this passage that went against what was "culturally acceptable" at that time for Jesus yet he was letting this woman know how much he cared for her and that he was the only one capable of providing her with "water that would cause her to never thirst". Indeed, the water that Christ gives will become in us a spring of water welling up to eternal life. That is our passion at Grace Church as women to be filled with Christ, that we would thirst no more for anything less than His best. We are committed to living out life as women sold out to the cause of Christ and in accordance with His word. We invite you to join us as we drink from the Well with a host of opportunities for women to learn God's Word, learn what it is to be a true woman of God, enjoy fellowship with other women and serve others to the glory of God. Please join us! Fall Studies
Isaiah 61:1 says "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has annointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captive and release from darkness for the prisoners." Is there something that is holding you back from experiencing the true freedom that Christ bought for you with His precious blood? This year, for the women of Grace, we desire to see each woman grow in intimacy with the Living God. (Remember, intimacy has been defined as in-to-me-see). The studies we will be offering in the Fall are designed to help you do that wherever you are in your walk with Christ.
Covenant: God's Enduring Promises - Do you need to know God has a promise over your life that He won't break ever? This study will take you through the Old and New Testament showing you God's enduring promises to His children. This in-depth Bible study explores God's initiatives with humanity by studying His covenants throughout history. Kay Arthur shows that the idea of covenant - God's enduring promise - is key to understanding our relationship with God. This course includes a member book using inductive study techniques, study questions, group discussion time, prayer time, and a teaching DVD by Kay Arthur. This course offered Tuesday evenings, September 14 thru November 9, from 6:30pm to 8:45pm and also on Wednesday mornings, September 15 thru November 10, from 9:30am to 11:30am.
Breaking Free - This in-depth women's Bible study draws parrallels between the captive Israelites of the Old Testament and New Testament believers in Jesus as the Promised Messiah. Beth looks at the Book of Isaiah through the lives of the kings who ruled during the prophet's ministry. These kings exemplify many of the obstacles to freedom with which we must deal. Using Scripture to help identify spiritual strongholds in you life, no matter how big or small, Beth explains that anything that hinders us from the benefits of knowing God is bondage.
Join Beth Moore on a Bible journey unlike any other. God intends for you to know and believe Him, glorify Him, experience His peace, and enjoy His presence. Breaking Free is Beth's life message that she wants to share with you. Taped live at Frakling Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, this study includes testimonies of women who have found freedom and have been delivered from personal captivity.
This study uses small group discussion and prayer time to encourage one another and truly see women set free from strongholds that keep them from living life fully in Christ. The accountability and encouragement through praying for one another is key to this study. Following your time in small groups, you will join together to hear Beth's teaching. This course offered Tuesday evenings, September 14 thru November 23, from 6:30pm to 8:45pm. Registration is required and will be offered on August 22 and August 29 following the service.
Living a Christ-centered Life: Join DeAnn Mercado as she walks you through what it means to live a life "centered" on Jesus Christ. This seven week course will be offered September 15 thru October 27, on Wednesday mornings from 9:30am to 11:30am.
