Grace Church Choir

The Grace Church Choir is composed of a group of people spreading across a wide age-range, who love to worship the Lord through the gift of song. The Choir refers to themselves often as a ìfamilyî since that is a valuable part of the way that this group interacts with one another. Although music is obviously a focal point for this group, there is also a huge focus on prayer and caring for one another. Each Choir rehearsal begins with a time of sharing prayer requests and praises and then praying together before rehearsing begins. Grace Choir sings a wide spectrum of Christian music ranging from hymns to gospel music. The Choir meets every Thursday from 6-7p.m. and is open to anyone who enjoys singing and has a passion for worshipping the Lord through the gift of song. The Choir takes part in the Sunday morning services approximately every 3-4 weeks (excluding the summer months) and also serves in many of our special services. Grace Church Worship Team

The Grace Church Worship Team is composed of two parts, the Grace Vocalists and the Grace Instrumentalists. The two teams rehearse both separately and together in preparation for Sunday morning services. The Grace Church Worship Team is composed of selected instrumentalists and vocalists who each serve approximately once a month. The members of the team cover a wide age spectrum and come from all sorts of musical backgrounds. Many of the Grace Church Worship Team members are also involved in using their musical gifts to glorify the Lord in other venues as well. Currently, we have team members who teach private music lessons, perform in other locations, guest worship lead elsewhere, teach in the Racine public schools, and are involved in songwriting pursuits. Each team member makes a commitment each year to seek to develop their musical skills in various ways.

Although the members of the Worship Team enjoy playing music together, more importantly is that their love of music is paired with a passion for the Lord. Each person on any Worship Arts team makes a commitment to grow in their relationship with God each year, and the Worship Arts staff do all they can to support them in this pursuit. This has included bringing in people to do seminars, providing Bible study materials, and holding Saturday morning devotional times with the Worship Team each week. There is a definite focus in the Worship Team on caring for one another, praying for each other and constantly recognizing the privilege it is to worship lead. The team focuses on the fact that worship is not about singing songs beautifully or playing their instrument perfectly, it is about giving all that they are in worship of their Lord and Savior, that He alone might get all the glory.
