What is Blaze?
Blaze is Grace Church’s weekly youth group that meets every Wednesday throughout the school year and is for junior high and high school students. The purpose of Wednesdays is to introduce students to the gospel message and to a group of people who love one another because of God’s love for them. Blaze is a place where all students can come and take part in the activities, which include: a message, small group discussion, games, and food. Since we believe that the good news of Jesus Christ is for everybody, we invite students to come and hear about the great things that God has done for us. Junior high meets from 6:30pm until 8:00pm while senior high begins at 7:00pm and goes until 8:30pm.
What are Pods?
Pods are age and gender specific groups led by adult volunteers for the purpose of giving students a taste of Christian community. Pods gather together during Blaze every Wednesday to catch up and discuss the message for the evening. Every two months we do something called Pod Night where these groups get together on their own in lieu of a normal night of Blaze and spend time with one another in a different setting.
What About Summer?
Although Blaze concludes in mid-May, Student Ministries continues on. We offer a summer calendar full of activities, bible studies, and service opportunities in order to keep investing into the spiritual maturity of our high school and junior high students.
