Grace

Because we are accepted by God’s grace alone, and not by works, we will be a community that extends grace to imperfect people in tangible ways.

Truth

Because God has spoken, revealing the epic story of the suffering and glory of Jesus, we will trust God’s true and authoritative word as our source for all life and godliness. We will seek to understand God’s truth with an attitude of humility, knowing that all truth comes from Him. We value expositional preaching so that the content and intent of our sermons are guided by the content and intent of biblical passages.

Transformation

Romans 1:16; 2 Corinthians 3:17-18, 5:17; Galatians 2:19-20

Because we believe in the life transforming power of the gospel, we will grow as followers of Jesus as we allow God’s word and Spirit to transform us inwardly and outwardly

Worship

Because Jesus died and rose again to give us eternal life, we will joyfully worship God with all of our lives, as individuals and as a congregation, for God’s glory and for the sake of the gospel

Prayer

Because God has freely extended his love to us through Christ, we will freely take our praise, requests, doubts, confession and thanksgiving to Him in prayer

Reconciliation

2 Corinthians 5:18-20; Ephesians 2:14-17; Colossians 1:19-23, 3:15

Because Jesus’ mission was the reconciliation of all things to Himself, we will live as those reconciled with Christ and seek reconciliation in all our relationships through continual repentance and forgiveness.

Community

John 1:1-4; Romans 12:9-13; Philippians 2:5-11

Because Jesus left the perfect community of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit to create a new, radically loving and generous community on the earth, we will pursue deep, transparent relationships as we grow together in Christ.

Evangelism

Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 19:10; John 1:1-4; Acts 1:8; Galatians 4:4-5

Because Jesus was sent into the world to save those who could not save themselves, we will be missionaries sent into the world to tell those near and far that Jesus saves.
