Who We Want To Be (Part 1)

Who We Want To Be (Part 1)

Everyone of us has values that shape the way we make decisions and navigate relationships; they inform what we see as treasure or trash. However, for many of us, they remain invisible or unspoken. As we take this month to recalibrate as a church, we want to think together about the values that shape the kind of people we want to be and the kind of church we want to be. Over the course of the next two weeks, we will look at seven different values. This week, we’ll begin with three: (1) the gospel, (2) scripture, and (3) prayer.

As we begin a new year (and a new decade!) we are taking the month of January to “Recalibrate” together as a church. We want to think together about where we are headed both personally as individuals and corporately as a church. In order to do that effectively we need to be able to answer the question, “What is the one thing we all need to give ourselves to?” Thankfully, we are not left in the dark; God has given us the answer to that question in his word. The one thing that we need to align everything on is this one simple, biblical, timeless goal: to know Christ.
