Thanksgiving Service & Member Meeting
November 24, 2024
Our vision "To Know Christ and To Make Christ Known" is inherently a discipleship statement. We want to grow in our knowledge and love for our Lord and labor toward others doing the same. In order to fulfill this, we use a four-fold strategy that seeks to move people toward Christ.
The first step in our discipleship strategy is to actively engage with our community so that we are regularly interacting with those outside the church. Whether this is in the neighborhood where we live or serving with one of our local partners, our first step toward making disciples is building relationships.
The second step is to explore the gospel with those we are in relationship with. We aim to be intentional about having gospel conversations with people we’ve engaged with as well as inviting them into our ministry spaces; especially the Sunday gathering, where the gospel is preached.
The third step is to establish believers in the faith. Once a person comes to belief in the Lord Jesus, we seek to work toward their growth in obedience to him and knowledge of his word through the word of God and their connection to the local body.
Lastly, we aim to equip leaders to serve as an example and teach others how to disciple. Since the Kingdom of God is far bigger than us and the work of the Great Commission will carry on after we are gone, it is imperative that we are directing time and resources to multiply people who can lead in this way.
