The Rejected King

Chapter 15 of First Samuel marks one of the most difficult passages for modern minds to navigate. It deals with aspects of God’s character that we either don’t understand fully or may naturally want to reject. But the bigger point of the story is the outright disobedience of Saul and the posture of his heart toward the Lord.
