This Sunday at 5pm we will be gathering together to pray for Christians living in countries where their faith in Jesus is restricted or illegal. They are rejected by their families and government for professing the name of Jesus. They face exile, prison, beatings, and even death. And yet their faithful witness testifies to the world of the truth and power of the name of Jesus.

These are our brothers and sisters in Christ. And we want to join in solidarity with them, lifting them up to the one who knows all and is above all. We want to petition our Father in heaven to grant them courage and steadfastness, and to use their witness to bear fruit in the Kingdom of Heaven.

To help you pray, take a look at the following story about how Christian men in India ended up in jail for praying for a sick church member, but how God used their witness to expand the kingdom.

Then join us Sunday at 5pm in the Commons to lift these brothers and sisters up to the Lord.  Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a meal together. Bring a crockpot of soup or a dessert to share.

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5-6)
