A Compassion-Hearted Church

A Compassion-Hearted Church

The story of the Good Samaritan is one of Jesus’ most widely known parables. While it is mainly a story about showing compassion, Jesus includes elements that uncomfortably challenged his original audience and exhorts us in similar ways. If we are to be a compassion-hearted local congregation, it would serve us well to pay close attention to the message that our Lord is teaching here… and go and live like the Samaritan neighbor. Next week: Psalm 13

Scripture References: Luke 10:25-37

From Series: "Recalibrate"

As we begin a new year (and a new decade!) we are taking the month of January to “Recalibrate” together as a church. We want to think together about where we are headed both personally as individuals and corporately as a church. In order to do that effectively we need to be able to answer the question, “What is the one thing we all need to give ourselves to?” Thankfully, we are not left in the dark; God has given us the answer to that question in his word. The one thing that we need to align everything on is this one simple, biblical, timeless goal: to know Christ.
